Leftover lids from mason jar crafts? Turn them into these cute coasters!

Create these fun custom coasters to use in your own home, or as a neat gift for a friend.

Lid 2

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:

  • Wide Mouth Mason Jar Lids
  • Darice Cork Disk Round 4 in. x 3 mm 4 pc.
  • ColorBox Archival Dye Ink Pad Full Size Wicked Black.
  • Rubber Stamps.
  • Eclectic Adhesive E6000 3.7oz Tube.
  • X-Acto #1 Precision Knife.
  • Cutting Mat.
  • Pen.
  • Spray Paint (optional).

Lid 3

To begin, remove one of the lids from the rings, and trace the outline of the lid onto the cork circles.  You’ll need one cork circle of every coaster you’re making.  Use your X-Acto knife to cut out the cork circles.  Save the excess cork.

Lid 4

Using the E6000, adhere the lids into the rings.  Let dry.  If you’re going to spray paint the lids, do it now, and let them dry.

Lid 5

Using your rubber stamps and permanant ink pad, stamp an image onto each cork circle.

Lid 6

Let the ink dry completely before you continue, so you don’t smudge the images.

Lid 7

Use the E6000 to adhere the cork circles to the inside of the lids.

Lid 8

If desired, cut small pieces of leftover cork to make cushions to glue onto the back of each coaster.

Lid 9

These coasters are a fun, and easy project, and would make a great little gift too.
