Kids’ Crafts: Wreaths

We love making wreaths for all the seasons. You can get pretty creative when making wreaths with kids and use a variety of household and crafts materials to make some unique seasonal decor. Here are some of my favorites.

Dip Dyed Craft Sticks create a beautiful sunburst effect which is fun to make and guaranteed to brighten any door this season. This would also work well for making a sunburst mirror for the kids’ room.

We have a redwood and a white pine tree in our backyard so we’re always collecting pine cones for crafting. Usually I have to squirrel away my pine cones for winter crafts (my husband likes to use them for kindling in our fire pit), but I think we’ll use my current stash for a spring wreath this time around. The bright colors used to paint these pine cones bring to mind some of our favorite flowers like Dahlias and Gerbera daisies.

We love crafting with egg cartons and I think this might be my favorite project we’ve tried yet. The egg shell cut outs are so bright and cheerful to work with.

If you have some extra cupcake liners leftover from birthday cupcakes they make for easy and even coordinated party decor.

If you have some brightly colored felt or fabric scraps around the craft room this is a great way to put them to use!
