This is a fun project using nature. Create a unique pendant using a polymer clay and leaf of sage. It’s fun for kids to use one item to make it look like another. Using the backside of a sage leaf to press into the clay creates a feather-like imprint.
Supplies:
- Polymer Clay
- Fresh Sage leaf
- Paint
Start off by pressing a ball of clay into a flat disk. Press the backside of the sage leaf into the clay, remove it. The impression looks like a feather.
Punch a hole in the disk, I used a bamboo skewer. Bake the disk according to the package. Once the disk is cool, paint it with a color wash to help bring out the sage impression. Let dry.
