Upcycling has become a recent craft trend. Finding things that may be inexpensive and changing them to create a better product is both a good way to save money and to keep yourself entertained during hot summer days. One of my favorite things to shop for is shoes and at times I cannot find the exact pattern or design I’m looking for. Luckily, crafting exists and these fun ideas will give both the opportunity to revamp your old pairs of shoes and get exactly what you want.

This could also work with your favorite magazine. Express what your passionate about and look cute doing it. The shoes will turn heads with creativity and can be personalized with your very favorite things.

Summer time means cheap flip-flops are in abundance, but don’t settle for bland when you could craftily add the extra touch. These braided straps will keep your flip flops comfortable and are easy to make.

Speaking of flip flops, here’s a tutorial on making old flip-flops into upcycled sandals. Use an old scarf for the fabric and you can upcycle two clothing items in one to create an entirely new look.
