This easy and versatile tutorial is the perfect way to display your spring blooms. Customize to fit your personality with your favorite colors and use paper punches or scissors to create shapes that make this vase uniquely yours!
Materials
- Glass Vase
- Tissue Paper
- Scissors or Paper Punch
- Mod Podge
- Paint Brush
- Painter’s Tape
- Craft Knife
How to Make It:
Take your tissue paper in your desired colors and either cut or punch the sheets into confetti. Note: if you decide to punch, you may want to back the tissue paper with a sheet of regular computer paper so that it punches through cleanly. Make sure you have a nice little pile of confetti before you start.
Thoroughly wash and dry your vase, preferably with alcohol. Tape off the bottom part of your vase wherever you would like the confetti to end.
Coat the vase with a thick layer of Mod Podge, and quickly sprinkle the confetti over the Mod Podge, lightly pressing to make sure it adheres to the vase. Continue until your entire Mod Podged area is covered. Let dry.
Add another light coat of Mod Podge on top of the confetti and lightly smooth everything out with your finger.
Once everything is dry, take your craft knife and lightly cut along the edge of the tape as you peel off to create a nice, clean edge.
Seal the edges with a little more Mod Podge and let dry.
Fill the vase with water and add a colorful flower arrangement!
